OSAS then and NOW
The founding of the Detroit chapter of OSAS dates back over a quarter century to 1966. Our union was originally organized because administrators were not being involved in the planning of programs which they were being asked to implement and expedite.
When administrators realized that they were faced with common problems, it became clear that the best way to improve their lot was to band together. OSAS has been an active union from the beginning.
We have taken that one step to be a proactive union, as our chronology will demonstrate.
